Understanding the Future Nonprofit Process: What It Means for Your Brick Pledge

Across the Ozarks and beyond, folks are stepping forward to be part of something bigger than themselves — a monument that will rise 700 feet into the Missouri sky as a tribute to our nation and all who've served her. With that enthusiasm comes good, honest questions, and we believe you deserve clear answers every step of the way.
Where We Stand Today
Old Glory Rising is currently in the process of finalizing our official nonprofit status. This is a necessary and important step for any organization built to last, and we're moving through it with the same care and diligence we're applying to every part of this project.
Until that status is finalized, commemorative brick pledges are considered expressions of support rather than formal tax-deductible donations. We want to be upfront about that distinction, because transparency is part of honoring the trust our communities are placing in us.
What Happens Once Nonprofit Status Is Finalized
Once our nonprofit status is complete, brick pledges will become eligible for tax-deductibility according to IRS guidelines. This means your generosity can go even further, supporting both your family legacy and your community.
- Pledges made now are reserving your spot and your message on the monument grounds
- Formal tax documentation will be issued once nonprofit status is finalized
- Supporters will be notified directly when this transition takes place
- No additional action will be required on your part to receive updated documentation
We know many of you are planning your giving around end-of-year taxes or family budgets, and we want you to have the full picture so you can plan with confidence.
Why the Brick Program Matters
For $250, a commemorative brick becomes part of the gathering grounds surrounding the monument — a lasting marker of a name, a family, a unit, or a hometown. These bricks are more than fundraising tools; they are the literal foundation beneath a monument meant to stand for generations.
Every brick laid is a story told — of service, sacrifice, and the simple, steady love of country that still runs deep in the heart of America.
Phase 1 of this project carries a goal of $2 million, a meaningful step toward the full $51 million needed to bring the complete vision to life: the monument itself, a community center, and gathering grounds built for reflection, remembrance, and celebration.
Our Commitment to You
We understand that trust is earned, not assumed. That's why we're choosing honesty over hype at every stage of this process, even when the full picture is still taking shape.
As nonprofit status moves toward finalization, we will continue sharing updates openly — including any changes that affect the tax status of your pledge. Our promise is simple: no surprises, no fine print hidden from view.
Looking Ahead Together
This monument will not rise overnight, and neither will the organization built to steward it. But step by step, brick by brick, the foundation is being laid — both in the Ozark soil and in the goodwill of everyday Americans who believe in what this project represents.
We're grateful for your patience, your questions, and your willingness to stand with us during this building season. The clearer we are with you now, the stronger this foundation will be for the decades ahead.
